Holmesville man cleans up property ‘close to 100 percent’

MILLERSBURG — On his own, but not before a court order, a Prairie Township man finally cleaned up what health officials claimed to be a decade-long nuisance on his property.
At a recent meeting of the Holmes County District Board of Health, Commissioner Dr. D.J. McFadden showed photos of the cleanup effort made at the property of Victor Whytsell.
Whytsell is under a contempt order issued in Holmes County Common Pleas Court to clean up the property, located at 9114 State Route 83, Holmesville. The court order came as a consequence of Whytsell’s failure to comply with an Aug. 28 health department demand he clean up the land because it posed a health risk.
